The growing problem of obesity in our youth can longer be ignored with one third of children aged 2-19 currently overweight or obese. The scary finding is that this is a significant change from 30 years ago that is steadily getting worse.
You can make a difference in your child's life and help them create healthy habits that they will carry into adulthood. There's no one solution, however there are many simple steps you can take to getting your kid eating right and getting the exercise they need.
While you are focusing on making sure your child is healthy and strong physically, remember to educate them about healthy financial habits as well. Teaching, understanding and listening are important for your child. Talk to them about student credit cards and the pros and cons of borrowing money before it's too late.
